I’m making a wine rack (out of wood) should the bottles be tilted front, back or level?
Because of the way the bottles are shaped, if you make “cradles” for the bottles even, the bottles will naturally tilt forward. However, when a bottle is laying down, the fluid will naturally fill the neck of the bottle and keep the cork wet – which is why you (a) lay the bottle down and (b) worry about these sorts of things.
But to answer your question, if you really needed to tilt the rack, it would tilt forward.
